Climbs like these are very distinctly energy and idea generators. The grueling labor of traversing treacherous terrain while simultaneously depending and being depended upon by a climbing team creates the most unique opportunity to evolve both physically and mentally. Mountaineering provides for those who are seeking a new perspective. This ink drawing depicts a scene from my climb of Mt. Shuksan’s classic Fischer Chimney Route, which will forever live in my memory.
