The regeneration journey - Stand on regenerative medicine

We developed four interactive setups to explain regenerative medicine to a wide audience. These setups explain four disease states that are being researched within regenerative medicine: diabetes, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease and osteoarthritis.

What is regenerative medicine?

Regenerative medicine offers chronically ill people the prospect of a cure, rather than (expensive) symptom relief. With this, they can hopefully make people with chronic diseases truly better in the future, and transplantation or insulin injections, for example, will no longer be necessary. Interdisciplinary research in regenerative medicine is based on the growing knowledge of stem cells, growth factors, tissue architecture, biomaterials and sophisticated measurement techniques, among other things.

From science to interaction

All four setups, each showing one of four disease states, consist of interactive objects and educational videos. For each disease picture, a functioning organ and a malfunctioning organ have been recreated. By working with the interactive setups, people can experience the consequences for patients when an organ stops working properly.

High quality, small edition

Because the Regeneration Journey is a unique reusable set-up, only one total set needed to be produced. With in-house production facilities, we made it possible to produce the set including travel box at a high quality and sustainable level. Thus, unique projects still find the light of day without compromising on interaction or quality.
