About This Project

Backstory & Purpose:

• Kampong Teripang is a tourist area in Bintan, Indonesia, with a tourism team that focuses on using sea cucumbers. This is one of the freelance projects that I worked on in 2022.

• This project aims to introduce tourist attractions and expand Kampong Teripang's promotional reach to potential tourists from all over Indonesia.

Problem:

• Kampong Teripang's vision is to reach potential visitors further by strengthening the company's branding on the website.

• In addition, the website needs to be urgently displayed as a display of tourist services or sea cucumber-based products produced and a center for providing important information visitors need to understand Kampong Teripang better.

Solution

1). User Research:

• For this project, I conducted a Direct Interview and Focus Group Discussion with the owner and management of Kampong Teripang to understand the client's desires for the kind of website they want.

• After completing this session, it was learned that eight sections would be needed to fulfill user desires. The section details are Home, Our Story, Stay & Explore, Conservation, Club KT, Longdrip Cafe & Resto, Housome Store, and Contact Us.

2). Information Architecture:

• The User Research session was then dissected through Information Architecture to determine the details of the nine previously known sections. The creation of this Information Architecture resulted in 30+ subsections containing more detailed information from the sections.

3). Wireframing:

• After knowing what features are needed for this project, the next step is to draw a wireframe that produces eight pages in desktop view.

4). Hi-Fi & Prototypes:

• Full wireframe visualization produces around 11 UI Design pages in desktop view.

• HD photos and a blue-hued color palette were chosen to represent the Kampong Teripang logo and tranquillity because this tourist spot is located in a beautiful sea.
