Come Unto - "Fear"

This piece was a challenge to make. I went through what seemed like hundreds of variation and even still it never felt perfect. But, then I realized that that was the point of this project...of this piece. It did not need to be perfect. In fact, the gaps in the text were fitting.

This artwork is pieced together with words and untruths that symbolize the toil and struggle that we face on a day to day basis. Brokenness. Loss. Tears. Lies. Unbelief. Sorrow. Unwanted.

It is also pieced together from a poem that I wrote out of a place of hardship, a poem written about my own struggles and fears (hence the title "Fear.") This work is the first in the collection, and the goal is to start in a place of honesty but end in a place of healing.
