Bandcamp Bulk Download Concept

Every now and then I like to do DJ sets and share music that I've been vibing with. I like to purchase albums from Bandcamp when sourcing my music, and unfortunately, as of this post, there's no way to download multiple albums or tracks at once, which makes it a bit cumbersome if I'm trying to download enough songs to fill a 2 hour+ DJ set.

I thought this would be a fun opportunity to prototype a quick concept of what a bulk download feature might look like on the Desktop app, so I threw one together using Framer and a few code overrides.

I tried to make this concept still feel like the BandCamp UI while still taking a few liberties in the UI:

• I leaned into the BandCamp teal brand color to create a highlight effect when an album is selected to help you visually distinguish which ones are chosen for download

• I added a dropdown to the main player footer at the bottom to let you see which albums you have queued up, which will be useful for folks like me who may have hundreds of albums queued up for download.

• Lastly, the download button next to the Download Queue dropdown lets you trigger a modal which confirms your selections, lets you choose a file format, and finally download the bulk.
