Project Overview
The project involved designing a user-friendly restaurant menu application. The aim was to create an interface that makes it easy for users to browse the menu, place orders, and access detailed product information, including nutritional facts. The app is designed for a wide audience but focuses particularly on athletes and those interested in dietary details.
Target Users
The app is tailored for:
Athletes and health-conscious individuals who need detailed nutritional information.
General users looking for an easy and efficient way to explore and order food.
Research and Insights
Competitive Analysis: Analyzed competitors such as Talabat and McDonald's to understand common features, strengths, and gaps. This helped identify opportunities for unique features and improvements.
User Research: Conducted informal research with friends and potential users who are athletes or regular app users. Questions asked included:
What features do you value most in a food ordering app?
How important is nutritional information when choosing food?
Are there features you wish were available in your current app?
Findings:
Nutritional information is highly valued.
Users prefer a straightforward and intuitive interface.
Efficient search and filtering options are crucial.

He frequently orders meals online but struggles to find detailed nutritional information in most apps. He seeks an app that not only offers a wide range of healthy meal options but also provides comprehensive nutritional facts, helping him make informed choices that align with his fitness goals.
Challenges: Ahmed finds it difficult to trust the nutritional information in most food apps and often spends extra time searching for reliable details. He needs a straightforward, reliable app that provides accurate nutritional data alongside meal options.

Design Process
Wireframes and Prototypes: Developed wireframes and prototypes to map out the app’s layout and user flow:
Home Screen: Includes a welcome message, user profile picture, notification icon, search bar with filters, and food categories.
Menu Page: Displays food categories with dish counts and allows users to view detailed product pages.
Product Details Page: Features product cards with price, rating, description, and an option to add to favorites. Detailed view includes nutritional facts and side options.
Visual Design: Utilized a modern aesthetic with:
Colors: Predominantly black with red buttons, green for prices, and high-quality images.
Interface: Simple and intuitive for easy navigation and use.
Testing and Validation
Performed user testing by comparing two versions of the product details page. Feedback revealed:
The final design was preferred for its simplicity and effectiveness.
Users appreciated the easy access to nutritional information.
Lessons Learned
User-Centric Design: Ensuring the app meets user needs, particularly for those interested in nutritional information, proved essential.
Iterative Design: The iterative process of testing and refining the design based on user feedback led to a more user-friendly final product.
