Project Overview:
In this project, I conducted extensive research to address a common issue faced by construction companies on the platform: managing discounts and ensuring profitability on the products used in their projects. Each company has its own discount rate based on their contracts, but they also need to make a profit when selling to their end customers.
Solution:
To tackle this, I designed a user-friendly interface with a seamless user experience. The idea was inspired by the functionality of Pinterest boards.
Here's how it works:
Product Selection: Customers can add products from the product page directly to their offers. If they don't have an offer created yet, a popup prompts them to start a new one.
Customization: Once a product is added to their list, it appears with the customer's default discount rate. Customers can adjust this rate, for example, changing a 25% discount to 10%, thereby increasing their profit margin by 15%. This adjustment dynamically updates the overall price of the offer.
Finalizing Offers: Customers can then finalize their offer by printing it, downloading it, or sending it via email. These options are easily accessible through small icons on the right, each with a tooltip for clarity.
Benefits:
This solution simplifies the process, eliminating the need for customers to manually create separate Excel sheets or use other ERP systems to manage offers. It streamlines their workflow and helps them efficiently manage pricing and profitability. Customers can also apply global discount to all the products listed in an offer if they wish to do so
