Logo design for Maleri

Maleri is an upcoming pottery painting coffee shop for which I am in the process of creating a logo. Inspired by the nature of the brand, I started the design process in a way that I wish I'd reach out to more: pen on paper. After turning my thoughts into doodles, I went digital and came up with the two (very different) versions below. The winner is to be decided and if you ask me - I'm rooting the first one.
