Pride Posters

Tbilisi Pride, Georgia's first-ever Pride movement, was founded in 2019 with a bold vision. As a graphic designer and part of the co-founding team, it was my mission to shape the brand identity of the organisation from the ground up. My pursuit was to create compelling visuals for a multifaceted movement that extends far beyond the planned Pride march, which has yet to take place due to the government's refusal to protect peaceful protesters against rampant homophobia and violence. However, Tbilisi Pride's commitment to social change extends throughout the year, encompassing a vibrant festival, informative international conferences, discussions, activist camps, a monthly celebratory ball to strengthen the community, and ongoing dialogue with politicians. Additionally, the organisation provides crucial support for family members of LGBTQ+ individuals, promoting a more inclusive and understanding society.

My design work played a central role in all aspects of these initiatives.

I developed print materials such as eye-catching posters, stickers, t-shirts, informative brochures, and flyers. In addition, my design extended across all of the organisation’s social media platforms to raise awareness and cultivate a sense of community. I also played a key part in designing the Tbilisi Pride website, ensuring a cohesive online presence that reinforced the movement’s message.

In just two years since founding the organisation, the number of Georgians who believe LGBTQ+ rights are important jumped from 33% to 47%. These statistics are a testament to the power of Tbilisi Pride's comprehensive approach and the transformative impact of visual communication.
