Reimagining Chime

Recreating Chime's design system and making it responsive for mobile, tablet, and laptop views was an enjoyable project, even though Chime's main focus may not be to create a responsive app.

Why Responsive Design?

  1. Seamless Experience Across Devices: Responsive design ensures the app looks and functions great on smartphones, tablets, and desktops, providing a consistent user experience everywhere.

  2. Cost-Effective and Future-Proof: Saves time and resources with a single adaptable design that’s easy to maintain and ready for future devices and screen sizes.

Why do we need both Light Mode & Dark Mode UI?

  1. User Preference and Comfort: Light mode offers a bright, clean look ideal for daytime use, while dark mode reduces eye strain in low-light environments, catering to user comfort and preferences.

  2. Battery Efficiency: Dark mode can save battery life on OLED screens by reducing the number of lit pixels, making it an energy-efficient option for mobile devices.

  3. Aesthetic and Accessibility: Both modes enhance accessibility and aesthetics, allowing users to choose the visual style that best suits their needs and enhances readability.
