UNSW Art & Design Annual 2024

介绍 Background

This is a proposed Logo design for the UNSW Art & Design 2024 Graduation Exhibition (Annual). The design requirements included incorporating "AD, 2024 or 24". To achieve this, I explored the area around the school and inspired by street signs. The crosswalk sign was modified to form the letter A; the turn sign was redesigned into the letter D; and the speed limit sign displayed a weird “24." In this way, AD 2024 is expressed in a manner that challenges the audience's perceptions. Due to people's sensitivity to road signs, the Logo can quickly establish a connection with them. Additionally, the Logo is highly versatile: it can be used as signage to attract passersby to the exhibition and can be extended to any materials and merchandise.

这是一个为 UNSW Art & Design 2024 毕设展设计的 Logo。设计要求中需要包含“2024, AD”的信息，其余内容可以自由发挥。为了完成这个任务，我在学校所在地区进行了一番探索，从街道路牌中获得了灵感。人行横道的标志经过巧妙修改后形成了字母 A；转向牌被重新设计为字母 D；而限速标志则展示了“24”。至此，AD24以一种挑战观众日常认知的方式表达出来，由于人们对路标的敏感性，Logo能迅速与他们建立联系。并且，这个Logo还具有极高的延展性: 它们可以被作为路牌吸引路人参与展览，也可以延申到任何物料和周边上。
