When I saw today's task is designing a landing page for a product, event or a brand. I immediately thought about an event my partner and I have been wanted to organise. As a photography lover and a illustrator, I want to blend these two elements into this UI design.

Wireframe

I made a list of the content that need to be showed on this event page, such as the key visual, the event details and a brief intro of what the organisation does and CTAs.

Then I translated the list into a quick sketch of wireframe including an idea of what the key visual can look like.

Design

Started with building up a simple event design system, then turn them into the layout I have initially sketched out. I changed the RSVP button into the cursor for the easy access.

I spent 30% of my time polishing a key visual illustration as I think it's quite a important element for the audience to grasp what the event is about when they enter the page. I can already imagine how this melting icecream can look like in motion! :-d

The time went super fast. I started making a rough sketch, a simple visual systems and a key visual. However, I didn't manage to finish the little illustrations to communicate the steps of the events. I will definitely come back later to finish them if I have more time. :)
