Layout & Trade Dress

Sci-fi projects are one of my biggest passions, and Starscape might be my favorite one so far. I wanted the border design to look like the interior of a spaceship, thus hundreds of images from real air and space crafts later this design was born. As a huge nerd that follows a lot of science and space news I really wanted to keep the color scheme as close to white as possible without it disappearing on the page, so I opted for those high contrast dark purple panels to make it stand out.

Ship and Gm sheet

At the end of the book we wanted to add all the playbook materials, I wanted to make the switch from the book texture to the white background of the sheets seem more intentional, so I decided to add a visible border to the header to signify the start of the new section. The ship and GM sheets were designed by me, the choice of a black and white design was made to help the players print the these materials more easily.
