How I Redesigned LinkedIn Invitations
This work presents ideas related to a UI/UX study conducted on the 'Invitations' section of the LinkedIn platform. The Invitations section allows users to manage their connection requests.
General Design Features
Information Presentation: The Invitations section is presented clearly with user names, titles, number of mutual connections and three action buttons: "Accept", "Ignore" and "Message".
Action-Oriented: The "Accept" and "Ignore" buttons allow users to make quick and easy decisions. Additionally, the "Accept" and "Message" buttons are prominent as the platform's goal is to connect.
Order and Organization: Information is placed in an orderly and organized manner to draw user attention and increase interaction.
Evaluation with UI/UX Principles
Usability: The necessary information and action buttons for users to manage their connection requests are easily accessible and presented in an understandable manner. This allows users to process quickly and effectively.
Visual Hierarchy: Important information such as names and titles are highlighted by being brought to the forefront. The "Accept" and "Ignore" buttons are placed in different colors to draw user attention.
Consistency: All invitations are presented in a similar format, allowing users to quickly understand and use the interface.
Feedback: Clicking the "Accept" and "Ignore" buttons provides immediate feedback to the user and indicates that the operation has been completed successfully.
This design is a UI/UX study that aims to make it easy for users to manage their connection requests. It is thought that the clear presentation of information, action-orientedness and regular organization will positively impact the user experience.
