Concidadania of the city of Santos is an informal, non-partisan and inter-religious, non-profit organization that aims to train citizens to fully exercise participatory, progressive, active, supportive and collective citizenship.

Atobá Design created the visual identity for one of the institution's projects: the Citizenship School. This project aims to train young leaders, preparing them to act politically and socially in their communities in the nine cities of Baixada Santista.

After developing the brand, we received a new invitation from Concidadania, this time to create the editorial graphic project for the first magazine that tells the history of these formations, as well as their impacts and results. In this editorial project, we prioritize ease of reading and interaction with the public, preparing the layout, graphic elements of the articles and developing infographics.

The research immersion process sought graphic references that identified the young universe, the project's target audience. Symbols aimed at culture, autonomy, identity, knowledge and social justice were considered in the development of graphics, as well as brand identity, providing consistency to the visual identity system and its applications.

A fundamental point was that the magazine should inspire these young people to read in a dynamic way, using more visual elements. Therefore, we define the creation of infographics as an important attraction tool for the topics covered, aiming to capture the interest of young audiences.

The graphic elements were created based on the Escola de Cidadania's visual identity project, strengthening the visual identity system planned for the brand. This provided consistency, recognition, credibility and effective communication of the information contained in the magazine.

To expand the graphic project, new typography, colors and graphic styles were inserted, contextualizing the project in its different presentation formats. The photos contained in the magazine were all produced, selected and provided by the client.

The magazine project was delivered in a closed file for printing, with the intermediation of State reviewers for possible adjustments to the texts or images. Atobá Design offers support in the first printings at the printing shop, assisting with technical queries requested by suppliers indicated by customers.
