Out of site/sight

“out of site/sight” is a project by three teams from Kolkata (India), Xalapa (Mexico), and Lima (Peru) that explores the wicked urban problems that dominate our urban age.Earlier this year I was invited to collaborate as a designer in a research project coordinated by @tres_art_collective (Ilana Boltvinik + Rodrigo Viñas) and Katleen De Flander. As part of the research process a series of co-design workshops took place, in Xalapa, Veracruz and this year in Kolkata, India where I participated. The task was to design a book and the graphics inside to be presented this same year in Bangkok, Thailand.My main goal as a designer working close with the teams in this workshop, was to have a deeper understanding of the whole project, collect and analyze all the material created by the teams in the past months in order to curate the content for the book to later translate it into icons and graphics with a solid visual communication.
