Retro Record Logo

This was a logo was for a commercial I made at school. The commercial was about a vintage record player where the needle was activated to play the record while the disc was spinning once you press play. It was popular back in the mid to late 20th century and that gave me idea to do a commercial about it, mainly because I love vintage. The colors for the letters are very psychedelic as I was going for 60s psychedelic style color scheme to fit the overall vintage appeal for my commercial. The logo was created on Adobe Illustrator using the Shape tool for the disc and Curve pen tool to create the lighting on it. The lettering was created using the type/text tool and then copying and pasting each individual letter on top of the original before scaling down on each individual layer to create that psychedelic effect I was aiming for.
