Flexible wood (Award design)

Brevnolab expertly crafts eco-friendly wooden products, and recently undertook a new challenge to design a distinctive award statuette for the Siberian Federal University. Wood, as a versatile and sustainable material, embodies the essence of Siberian culture.

However, this project was not without its complexities. The feasibility of production was a crucial consideration in the design process.

Inspired by the work of Spanish architect Ricardo Boffil, particularly "Les quatre barres de la senyera catalana," the statuette features a unique form. The twisting of a simple parallelepiped results in parallel main faces on the frontal view, creating a captivating distortion of straight lines
