Thunder Tribe

Brand Identity

Thunder Tribe is a Bōsōzoku-inspired motorcycle shop based in Seattle, Washington. Specialising in pre-1980s bikes, they offer a wide variety of services ranging from basic maintenance to full restorations. Our goal was to distill the bold iconography of Japanese motorcycle subcultures into a minimal badge. The logomark depicts both motorcycle handlebars and a Torii—a Japanese gate commonly found at the entrance to a Shinto Shrine. Symbolically, these gates mark the transition from the mundane to the sacred, a fitting metaphor for Thunder Tribe.
