LawLens
LawLens Branding
The LawLens logo was dreamt up as a play on the owners love for dogs, the affiliation of dogs already associated with legal world and the criteria of making the brand less serious than most law platforms.
After playing around various versions, we decided on a 'pointer', as the LAWSAAS platform was leveraging LLM's + an algorithm to 'point' out specific pieces of data with in South Carolina legal statutes.
This ultimately lead to the creation of the logo and mascot: Peter Pointington |||
Sub Brands
We didn't stop there. Blazing a trail in the logo world, we decided to have a bit more fun by creating sub brands and have Pete live and champion different parts of the LawLens ecosystem.
Starting with LegalPaws, we created an off the clock version of Pete that would be the logo of the merchandizing arm, show casing various weird laws still in enforcement to this day.
Example: Did you know it's illegal to use explosives to fish in South Carolina? Did you know there's an even bigger fine if you don't report it?
The second version of Pete was for 'Pointer Press' the blog and resources arm of LawLens. We wanted to lean on the visuals selected of 18th century lithography and showcase rocking a press hat with a pipe to show that he embodied the newsroom.

Pointer Press - Editorial Branding
Pointer Press utilized Pete in his press attire, incorporated into a unique newspaper style header that could be applied across the blog and some engaging marketing collateral that wasn't your typical 1-pager.
Swag Cross Overs
Here is some of the swag/merchandise cross overs used for the beta release at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The swag was a big hit with local solicitors and fit the beach vibe of the venue.
Illustrations & branding
Leaning more on that 18th century vibe, we utilized lithography versions of Pete and various legal imagery while making sure to keep the dog theme present. This cross over of elements created a distinctly unique look for LawLens and its illustrations.
A big bonus, was that the entire brand and ui of the platform leveraged Figma to create a design system that we could pull up to date ui elements and cross them over with illustrations to help explain the platforms concepts or goals they might be called for.
Web Designs
Here is another example of the design system at work. We have all the components of a typical form (Bootstrap 5), combined with branding elements and ui examples to create fun and focused display of what LawLens does, and that using it was a 'walk in the park'.
The main website was a single page website, again pulling in all the visuals from the brand, that leveraging the design system created a pixel perfect layout for the developers to execute on. This freed up our time to work some extra animations like the falling dominos and creating a time-savings calculator to help quantify the cost of the platform.
Social
Pete being Pete and pointing out the fastest legal search in South Carolina yall.
