Instagram is missing out on AI. Their current AI feature – a "green screen" is a half-hearted, weak take on what it could potentially be.

AI design concept for Instagram: the "Erase a Subject" feature. Billions of people rely on Instagram as their preferred media editing platform. They need to integrate better AI editing. Imagine effortlessly erasing any subject from your photos simply by outlining it. Whether it's an unwanted background object or a person who photobombed your perfect shot, this AI-driven tool seamlessly fills in the gaps.

I think simple AI features like this, embedded within the Instagram editor, would offer so much more value to users than the current basic green screen functionality.
