Urban Culture Analytics – Landing Page

Overview

‘Rosion is a company equipped with the latest analytical tools to anticipate the complex dynamics of urban society in the long run. By taking into account most variables that contribute to the erosion of static data, the company’s technology delivers a snapshot of future trends and urban life.

Challenge

This project was challenging due to the need to reconcile opposing aspects in style and attitude to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the brand and its target audience: capturing the vibrancy, spontaneity, rebellion, and magic of subculture and suburbs, while also embodying the orderly, institutional, and cerebral aspects of urbanism and of a company providing analytical services based on sophisticated technologies.

Solution

I achieved this by putting in value my experience as a Brand Developer. I created a logo based on a geometric font that suggests a world of numbers, yet its playful robustness evokes urban graffiti art. I then made subtle adjustments to the letters with calculated nicks and intended chaotic cuts, giving the brand personality and flair, literally dotting the "i".

Next, I chose a background image for the page that suggests urban dynamism with lines converging towards the horizon, creating stylistic cohesion with the logo.

Conclusion

This project demonstrated that interesting effects can be achieved when synergizing both branding and UX/UI aspects.
