Biocore - Impact data analysis platform, Behance case study

What does product design have to do with the safety of athletes? In the case of the Biocore app, quite a lot. When collaborating with Biocore, we recognized that their mission to enhance athlete safety in injury-prone situations would be integral to our work on the digital product. Creating a data analysis platform for Biocore researchers to analyze impact data during sports play required us to fully understand the needs of these specialized users.

Biocore’s mission is to improve athlete safety in high-risk situations. They came to us with a clear vision for a product that emphasized visual appeal, data readability, and scalability. They provided us with low-fidelity screens, the app’s backend, and a ready AWS setup with APIs. Our role was to develop the frontend for the desktop application.

One of our challenges was transforming raw biomechanical readings from impact sensors into readable, user-friendly data visualization dashboards. We also needed to ensure the solution was future-proof and scalable, allowing for new add-ons. Additionally, the design had to support the ability to white label the software for future use.
