Researcher

My role: Lead UX designer, UX researcher, UI Designer

Responsibilities: Do user research and design the app and website.

User Research Summary

By interviewing different users, from different background, I found out that users want a reliable, fast and easy way to find a close by theater to enjoy a movie.

Some users have busy life and want to be able to save time and skip the line by buying ticket and snacks through the app or website.

Others want to be able to see when the less busy hours are. This way they can choose the less busy times to be able to go with their kids without disturbing the experience for others.

Pain Points

  1. 1. Finding the closest theater to save time.

  2. 2. Checking out on the app to skip lines.

  3. 3. Get the snacks on the app, and only pick it up once on the theater to skip the line.

  4. 4. Find the less crowded theaters.

    Accessibility considerations

  1. Contrast for better visual fidelity.

  2. Visual hierarchy implemented on the font sizes. This is for a clearer visual experience.

  3. Landmarks for better navigation of the site.

Takeaways

Impact: When sharing the design with user they found navigation is simple and easy to use. Users were able to find all the needed option for them to choose.

What I learned: I learned small details can make big changes on the design. User test and reviews also help me get a better understanding on what my user want and what they need.
