Sajid reached out to me to create an NFT for Coinbase Wallet. The NFT was offered as a free mint to celebrate the wallet's launch of support for NFTs minted on the Polygon chain.

The Idea

Due to a very tight deadline ,We decided to reimagine one of Sajid's older artworks in a vibrant 3D-rendered style. The Coinbase team was on board with the idea.

Texturing and Animation

Upon receiving the 3D model from Sajid I began texturing. I referred to various references of real Kathak dancers to design the fabric textures and decorations. We also decided to add some motion, incorporating a fist bump for visual interest.

Results

The NFT was a hit, and the campaign gained significant traction. It garnered a lot of attention and has surpassed over 1 million mints to date, successfully generating excitement for the launch. Many people tweeted about the mint, and some even made YouTube videos covering the launch.
