PADEP 2020, 2021, & 2022 Annual Reports

As the designated designer for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) Annual Reports for the years 2020, 2022, 2022, and 2023, the goal was to create visually engaging and informative reports that not only showcased the department’s accomplishments but also encouraged county participation in programs aimed at improving the health of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed and surrounding environments.

The biggest challenges were interpreting complex data sets into tidy, easily understood infographics, and fitting all the desired text provided by PA DEP into the documents without compromising design or making it look too busy and cluttered.

The reports aimed to highlight the PA DEP’s mission in conservation and inspire communities to take an active role in environmental protection.  Results: The PA DEP Annual Reports successfully served as powerful tools in advancing the department’s mission of environmental conservation and promoting county participation. The reports received positive feedback from stakeholders, including government officials, environmental organizations, and the general public.
