Welcome to my latest UI/UX adventure: a vibrant community-based recipe sharing platform that's all about bringing home cooks together. Imagine a place where you can discover, create, and share your favorite recipes while connecting with fellow food enthusiasts. It's a hub for culinary exploration and community bonding, designed to make your kitchen escapades even more exciting!

Design Highlights

Color Selection:

I have selected orange as the primary/accent color based on color psychology, which associates warm tones like red, yellow, and orange with food. Warm colors stimulate appetite and evoke a sense of hunger. This is why brands like Zomato and Swiggy use similar warm tones as their accent colors. Additionally, I have chosen dark green for text and borders because it complements the orange accent color, providing a pleasing visual contrast that enhances readability and aesthetics.

Font Selection:

I have selected a sans-serif font for the website as these fonts look clean and modern and are widely used across the globe in digital product designs. Specifically, I chose the 'Mint Grotesk' font as it works well with our pastel color theme and enhances the overall look and experience of the website. Grotesque fonts (also sometimes Grotesk or Gothic), are usually geometric in design with simple letterforms and fairly even stroke weights.

Theme Selection:

I have chosen a pastel color theme for the website as it evokes a sense of calmness and a soothing vibe. This theme aligns well with our major target audience, primarily 18-60 year-old women, especially housewives, who are likely to prefer a design that evokes a soothing vibe rather than a techy one.
