The inspiration to the creation of DrinkUP came after a solo travel experience last year. Exploring all these new places, I found it surprisingly hard to meet new people and just tag along for a beer with them. This very difficulty spark-plugged the idea behind DrinkUP: connecting people, meeting new friends, and enjoy - ing social outings.

DrinkUP is not for dating purposes but for those notso-real conversations about trending topics, stories, and games over alcohol. The idea is to create a plat - form that breaks down the jitters and makes it easy for people to build new friendships in a fun and re - laxed environment.

I am sharing my own experience with an intention to underline the real need for such an app and how it can help millions of people step out of their comfort zones and connect with others.
