DAD a.k.a Grill Master

Just a fun project for Father's Day. Thought it'd be fun to draw my Dad as a mascot for a Father's Day gift. Going to have this printed on a shirt or apron for when he grills... which is most nights. I did a quick sketch in my Field Notes and the rest is history.

Below is the sketch. With the first sketch I felt I nailed his likeness, without looking at reference. I had begun a second sketch to play with the pose, but quickly realized the first one was the one to work with. I also enjoy how (unintentionally) I made the face and head look like a muppet version of my Dad.
