Neverending Nightmares | Movie Poster Project

Objective: The objective of this project was to create movie art and additional S.W.A.G. needed to promote an independent film at CinemaCon, a convention owned by the National Association of Theater Owners, held annually in Las Vegas. My idea revolved around a horror theme, suitable for halloween. The film is titled “Neverending Nightmares.”

Process: After researching various horror movie posters for inspiration, I sketched a few poster thumbnails. I was directed to alter the concepts to focus less on the character and more on the movie theme setting. It was a bit of a challenge thinking of how I was going to make the final design work, and how to rework it from my thumbnail concepts, but in the end, I ended up with a poster design that I was very pleased with. I also took some design elements and ideas from my first thumbnail concept, and worked them in to the final design. I used a technique known as Photobashing to achieve the final results of my poster.
