    The largest Eichler Homes development ever built, San Mateo Highlands, consists of over 650 homes, designed and built by Claude Oakland, Anshen + Allen, Jones & Emmons, and Pietro Belluschi between 1955 and 1965. This community has some really cool atrium and 2-story models. But probably the most well known homes are The Life House and the X-100. The latter is recognized by the National Register of Historic Places, and happens to be featured in this post’s MOD-icon.
