Budgeting app

The project work starts with the following task - design an app and a responsive website that help friends and family groups manage a household budget and save up for a common goal. There are already numerous solutions on the market, so I begin with the empathize phase of the design process to better understand my potential users, their needs and their pain points.

First of all I indicated the research goal - understand the process of saving money, the approach people prefer and emotions that they experience, while encountering problems my product is trying to solve.

These empathy maps are the results of the interviews with representatives of the groups of target audience of the product. On the basis of these interviews and empathy maps personas were created.

After that step I got on with the creation of CJMs or UJMs (Customer Journey Map or User Journey Map).

Then I moved to the define stage - where I elaborated problem statements, that concisely describes a user need that my design addresses, hypothesis statements, which communicates the best educated guess about how to address that need, and goal statements, articulating a specific and measurable goal for the project.

Wireframes & Prototyping

After the emphasize and define phases we switched to ideation and prototyping

This stage of design process started with the paper protypes.

These are the wireframes for the future mockups of the Budgeting app, in the wireframes all the valuable insights from the research and interviews were addressed.

These pictures are providing the nowadays look of the app in its progress both light and dark modes.
