Wikiwash

Wikiwash is a product that allows journalists, citizens and activists to uncover spin and bias on Wikipedia by tracking page edits in real time. We built it with Metro News as the winning concept at Techraking, a conference we organize with the Center for Investigative Reporting. We had a blast testing the functionality during the Toronto Mayoral Election in 2014 and watching the spin unfold across the Ford pages and beyond.

This was an exercise in true MVP product design led by TWG alum @William Roderick MacIvor and myself. As an open source beta effort, we’d love your feedback and collaboration to improve the value of the tool - try out Wikiwash.
