Cal Lutheran University
This project entailed a complete redesign of Cal Lutheran University’s bi-annual alumni magazine. Key design elements were a new masthead, cover, cover story spread and featured article spreads. The magazine totaled 40 pages. The name of the magazine was thoughtfully redesigned using three different typefaces to acknowledge the university’s past, present and future. The overarching goal was to integrate a fresh approach to engage the reader (spanning across college students to older alumni). It was integral to retain CLU’s foundational brand while also incorporating dynamic layouts, photos and graphic elements. The publication is mailed to alumni, parents, friends and also distributed campus wide.
