Apee – Branding

Finally got the chance to work together with my friend Antoine Plu on a logo for his design studio.

I made around 70 sketched concepts, both wordmarks, abstract symbols, and the letter A. After experimenting with 10 digital concepts we landed on this final direction. The symbol is based on a grid to make sure the shapes are as clean and balanced as possible.

I looked at a lot of typefaces before landing on the awesome Unigeo32. The colors were inspired by the green/orange palette of some awesome vintage cars that Antoine put into the mood board.
