I've decided to revisit some of my past projects, starting with a significant one – the UI design for a Voice Communication System (VCS) for air traffic control.

Project Overview

Working with Samtech, I revamped the VCS UI to enhance reliability and accessibility. The challenge was modernizing the design while maintaining simplicity and efficiency, which are critical for fast and reliable communication.

Key Improvements

1. Color Use: Restricted to vital information, creating a calmer, focused interface.

2. Light & Dark Themes: Automatic switching for day/night comfort.

3. Touch-Friendly Design: Compatible with wide and multi-touch screens.

Impact

The redesigned UI improved usability, received positive feedback, and enhanced overall user experience. The dynamic themes aligned with natural circadian rhythms, reducing eye strain during extended usage.
