IP AXIS INDUSTRIAL STUDIO 一軸工業 is a fashion brand based in Hong Kong, focused on designing and engineering functional urban clothing.

IP AXIS has adopted a progressive concept with the addition of scientific elements since the inception of their brand. Collections use future’s urban techwear as the major idea, which is come up with by a foreseeable future, in which human beings will have to work in polluted environments with depleting natural resources due to excessive human activities like over-mining. In this dystopian scenario, not wearing functional and protective clothing is life threatening. Therefore is the idea that “clothing can become your second skin”.

The goal of this design concept is to embed the today user into the futuristic world of IP AXIS, through mediums other than the clothing itself: graphics, photography, color, animation, sound, web store and online experience. It takes some current elements and develops them, executing the brand’s identity more consistently.

“IP” stands for Internet Protocol address, and “AXIS” signifies the desire to serve as a central point radiating influence to others. The icon created is inspired by the laser radiation hazard symbol, modified to resemble an axis in the internet computer network. It carries the brand’s mission while being a danger alert of those possible extreme environments.

The website and identity is inspired by cyberpunk and retro futurism, industrial technical drawing, the old internet era and video game interfaces.
