Winter BrewFest 2024

This was a promotional poster I created earlier this year for the Missoula Downtown Association. It was for their first big downtown festival of the year the Winter BrewFest!

For this project I had to use a color pallet that reflected the logo, working mainly in blues and yellows. I really enjoyed this project because besides the necessary needs of the poster (information, sponsors), I was given complete creative freedom to create something unique and using one of my own styles of illustrating.

The incapsulating idea behind this design was what was the feel and view like of Caras Park during the winter? For me it was a no brainer, one of the most common ways for people to walk into the park is from the top Higgins Street Bridge (Bear Tracks Bridge) walking past the Wilma downtown. There's a large metal staircase that descends into the park right after walking onto the bridge that 'invites', draws you down into the park. That invitation is what I wanted this poster to convey and I feel like I was successful at it!
