Meesho | First Order Discount | Envelope

Offer/discounts are vital for activating new users, especially for Meesho where most customers are from tier 2+ cities. To tackle first order offer communications, we observed that nearly 20% of new users don't return after their first two app opens.

To grab their attention, we created a splash screen that highlights discount information on the second app open. The results? A significant boost in user engagement and retention. More users completed their first order than ever before. Shipping animations in code using Lottie, an open source tool created by AirBnb Design.
