15/32 – Austin Lonestars Uniforms
Behind the Stitches
The Austin Lonestars, one of the original UFL franchises, buckles down on a traditionally-styled uniform set.
The helmet – a black shell with a black facemask with the primary "A" logo on either side (the highlight in this mark will always face forward towards the facemask). A single red stripe runs down the center of the lid, and only the back bumper features any sort of artwork: the classic "Lonestars" wordmark.
A primary red for home games, a white for away, and an alternate black are the three core jersey tops for the Lonestars. Each set features a double stripe on each sleeve, with each stripe incorporating a thin trim on the north side. On the center of the chest is the classic "Lonestars" wordmark.
The pant sets, in the same base colors as the jerseys, implement a single version of the double sleeve stripe from the uniforms. The thin stripe trim faces forward, towards the front of the player in this instance.
The jersey number set incorporates a square slab serif that maintains the Western essence of the classic wordmark from above but with modern styling and taste. It was modified with a slightly taller footprint specifically for the jerseys – again to accommodate the designated space for the garment.
These mockups were made with a modified and retextured Madden 20 on PC. The in-game screenshots were then used to create a composition in Photoshop.
