A Composite Image for a Project about Vintage Board Games
A Game of Lotto based on fairy tales, illustrated by Otto Kubel
My mission was simple - to make one picture from several available illustrations, used for a board game in 1920th. Otto Kubel illustrated the title, used fot the box and a seris of scenes from popular fairy tales by the Grimm Brothers. Page where the game supposed to be presented, has a strickt limit of only one picture per post. Our client has seven illustrations, so a mosaic is an obvious choice.
We decided to keep things simple and don't complicate with overlapped or morphed pics, what lead to the result presented in this post.
Here we can see the title page with one scene from Hansel and Gretel and all six scenes from four different fairy tales sgned by Jacob an William Grimm. Editing took a few minutes and positioning with additional resizing and formattng a few more minutes. InkScape did the rest. All in all about half an hour to achieve a pretty good result within the budget (zero).
