Converse Website Color Picker Design (Mini Case Study)

Introduction:

This mini case study examines a #color picker design I created for UIX101 #060. The task was to design a color picker that would show the color variations and product images of a selected model for a sneaker company.

Problem:

During my research, I noticed that #Converse does not present products from the same series together, but rather as individual products. This made it difficult for users who wanted to see different colors of a model.

Solution:

I developed a design where the product color changes when users select colors on the product page. This allows users to visually compare color options and make easy choices.

Other Design Improvements:

  • Making the search bar more visible and clickable

  • Shortening the page length by presenting product photos in a slider

  • Using a part of the Converse logo for the slider arrow

Conclusion:

This design makes it easier for users to visually compare product colors and make selections. Making the search bar more visible and presenting product photos in a slider also improves page usability and visual appeal.

I hope you like it! 🎨
