Katong Park Wall Mural

A collaborative project by Dunman High School with support from the Land Transport Authority. This illustration depicts a typical day at Katong Park prior to its renovation. The students and staff of Dunman High School designed the majority of the park's visitors, each portraying the various unique qualities of Singaporeans.

In the top left corner are two iconic statues of colonial statues that stand by the park's entrance. Visitors can be found cycling along the path, or relaxing on the grass. Many families often enjoy their time having picnics, while children entertain themselves at the playground.

Another iconic landmark of the park has been illustrated in the centre to allow it to the stand out. The Rainbow Eucalyptus Tree sported a colourful trunk, distinctive among the other trees around it. Next to it lies the remains of Fort Tanjong Katong, the only one of its kind on the eastern side of Singapore.

And finally, dogs and their owners have gathered along the bottom of the mural, where a dog run area was created to allow dogs off their leashes with the freedom to frolic about.
