Saving the Land - illustrated box

Saving the Land is a farming charity project supporting Ukrainian farmers who are living with a high risk of landmines in rural land. The charity aims to raise awareness of the situation, with a portion of the proceeds going towards rejuvenating and regenerating the areas affected by mines.

The third and final brief in the Inkygoodness 28-day branding challenge In collaboration with Rick Hedof was to create an illustration to go on the side of the fruit box, showing a family of farmers and bringing in references to Ukranian patterns, clothing, culture and handicraft. The end result is this stacked scene that brings in elements of patterns and ceramics as well as a palette inspired by clothing, created entirely in Adobe Illustrator.

It was really lovely exploring Ukrainian culture, countryside and the embroidery and I hope I have done the brief justice!
