Abu Dhabi Over Half a Century

As part of its celebrations of the 42nd National Day in 2013, SCAD launched the largest statistics map in the world, demonstrating the great development work in Abu Dhabi over the past 50 years. The 170 m long map was displayed at the Corniche area in Abu Dhabi, attracting visitors due to the impressive development work of the capital. SCAD team extensively worked for two years to build time series information for the twenty-five (25) development indicators of Abu Dhabi. The launch of this initiative also became important because it coincided with the International Year of Statistics (‘Statistics 2013”) and helped SCAD raised its profile, locally and internationally.
