14/32 – El Paso Desperados Uniforms
Behind the Stitches
El Paso mixes modern jersey cut innovation with traditional styling for their uniform set.
The helmet has a silver base with a black facemask and the primary silhouetted desperado is featured on both sides. A red-black-red helmet stripe runs down the center of the shell – this stripe mimics the color balance of the logo. On the front bumper is the "Desperados" weathered brush script and on the back bumper is the "El Paso" city name mark.
For the jerseys, each top features a black shoulder yoke and the primary logo on both sleeves. The collar has a thin outer trim that wraps around and truncates at the webbed panel behind the league logo. The side panels incorporate two thin stripes – one that runs from the base to the arm hole on the back half of the jersey and one that runs from the base and curves up to meet the yoke panel. This stripe mimics the dynamic linework from the primary logo. The Desperados have black or red jersey tops for home games and white for away games.
When it comes to the pants, the silver set uses striping that directly matches the helmet. On the black set, the black and silver stripes swap positions and the red set uses a silver-black-silver stripe mechanic.
The jersey number set incorporates curved vertical stems that nod to the dynamism of the primary logo, but with more athletic block inspiration. While the letterforms are more expressive, the block-style guardrails help maintain legibility and functionality.
These mockups were made with a modified and retextured Madden 20 on PC. The in-game screenshots were then used to create a composition in Photoshop.
