Design concept

Gizmo: AI-powered Assistant for Vision OS.

An early concept I did for fun and wanted to share. Having a virtual avatar makes AI more accessible to various user groups. The ability to respond to user commands and queries through voice or menu navigation, gesture recognition, and text-to-speech functionality, ensuring accessibility for users with different needs.

Friendly Appearance designed to evoke feelings of warmth and trust in users. Drawing from social psychology research on anthropomorphism, we recognize the importance of establishing a human-like connection with AI assistants to promote user engagement and cooperation. Gizmo's inviting appearance encourages users to interact with confidence and ease. By drawing inspiration from familiar, non-threatening shapes and colors, such as the soft, rounded form of a blob, I aimed to reduce cognitive barriers and promote user acceptance and adoption of the assistant.

Expressive Capabilities. To enrich the user experience, and give a clear indication of the current state of the assistant, Gizmo possesses the ability to display reactions or emotions through subtle visual cues. Usage of human-like emotions is a logical and understandable indicator for people.

Generative AI powers the assistant's ability to guide users through relaxation exercises, mindfulness practices, and 1:1 conversations in relaxing virtual environments or accompany them outside, offering personalized support and promoting well-being.

🧐 Task management

Generative AI enhances task management capabilities by generating personalized scheduling suggestions for meetings, recording and summarizing key points during meetings, and facilitating note-taking, improving efficiency and productivity.
