The visual identity of Odissaia, an interview program with women cultural professionals, created and designed by Raquel Pellegrini and Dario Felix, was inspired by Greek culture - architecture, painting and sculpture - and the stories and adventures narrated in the text of Homer's Odyssey.
Atobá Design was responsible for creating the brand and graphic elements that make up the program's visual identity system, including the main and reduced version of the brand, brand variations, colors, graphics, typography, background graphic patterns, and cutouts. collage for later animation of vignettes and frames.
During the research stage of the project, we considered several fundamental concepts. Firstly, the idea of "Odyssey", which connects with travel and extraordinary adventures, reflecting the stories to be told by the women in the program.
We also explore the notion of female strength, empowerment, struggle, diversity and breaking standards. Furthermore, we analyzed ancestry, the goddesses of Greek Mythology and the symbols that reinforce these characters, thus enriching the program's visual and thematic narrative.
With the themes of irreverence and voice chosen, we moved on to developing the brand and creating a new presentation to customers. The result was a combination of the concepts of feminine strength, voice and irreverence, represented by visual elements inspired by Greek culture and art.
In the final delivery, in addition to creating the brand with typography design, Atobá developed a Visual Identity Manual, with main and reduced versions, constructive mesh, typographic family for different applications, color palette, different versions of the brand, black version and white, geometric patterns for visual communication backgrounds, and compositions with image collages for the program's frames.
