13/32 – Phoenix Skyhawks Uniforms
Behind the Stitches
Coming in hot! Check out these modern threads for the Phoenix Skyhawks.
This team has an all-orange lid (shell and facemask) with the primary diving hawk on either side. The front and back bumpers spell out "Skyhawks" and "Phoenix" respectively.
The Skyhawks have three different jersey tops: midnight navy, white, and firey orange. All three tops have a navy yoke with a navy collar and have a colored triangular underarm panel that varies between base uniform colors. On the home and away sets, this panel is orange, and on the orange alternate it is navy. Each jersey top features the primary diving hawk logo on the sleeves and the team name wordmark on the chest.
There are also three different pant options that allow some degree of mixing-and-matching. These pants mirror the same striping mechanic as the jersey top, a triangular panel with its base at the knee. Additionally, the tertiary "P" logo is on each hip.
The jersey number set, uniquely italicized as far as football uniforms go, mirrors the team wordmarks – fast and aggressive with a strong angle and pointed serifs attached to some of the letterforms. It's drawn slightly taller and more condensed to adhere to the proportions that a football jersey allows.
These mockups were made with a modified and retextured Madden 20 on PC. The in-game screenshots were then used to create a composition in Photoshop.
