THE BRAND:

During the years of the pandemic, Chef Vanika Choudhary found inspiration in her Kashmiri heritage and grandmother's traditional cooking methods.

Her restaurant, Noon, drew upon the culinary wisdom passed down through generations. Named after the Kashmiri word for salt, Noon reflected the scarcity faced by her ancestors during harsh winters in Srinagar, where sun-dried and fermented produce sustained them. Despite modern abundance, the restaurant celebrated these age-old practices, offering a taste of tradition in contemporary Mumbai.

THE DESIGN:

The primary goal had been to ensure that Noon's menu truly reflected its essence, with a focus on simplicity as a guiding principle. This commitment to simplicity had been mirrored in every aspect of the menu's design, from the dishes offered to the overall aesthetic. The chosen color palette had been carefully selected to embody this ethos, with hues that conveyed a sense of understated elegance and sophistication. By maintaining a simple, classy, and minimal approach throughout, the restaurant had aimed to create a cohesive and inviting dining experience for its patrons.
